We NEED Price
The Rays NEED to promote David Price. Major League hitters, including A-Rod, could not hit him in the spring and Minor leaguers just look silly against him. He has not recorded a loss in his professional career. He can at least be a terrific lefty-specialist. He would be an upgrade to Andy Sonnanstine. Send Sonny to the 'pen. He can rack up some wins at the end of the season before the playoffs to get expierience and he would be a great addition to the team. The bottomline is HE CAN PITCH. He deserves to be in the majors.

Those are some slick stats. Even I've heard of this guy and I barely pay attention to the minors beyond the Mets. The Rays seem to have quite the minor-league pitching depth.
Call him up and keep those Yankees out of the playoffs. The Rays feel a lot like the '69 Mets...If it comes to that though, I hope the '08 Mets can stop that run.

He pitched five more shutout innings last night. If he has not done enough for a callup, I don't know who deserves to be in the majors and who doesn't.

According to some murmurs in the Rays organization, Price should be bumped up to Triple-A Durham in the next few days.
He might get one start up there and see if he is comfortable against those guys.
It was previously thought he might make his first appearance up here within the next two homestands.
The timeline has him up here for the L A Angels 3-game series so he can be used in the 12 game Boston and New York home and away series after that short homestand

Thanks for the info. If they brought him up for the Angels series that would work great for me as I have tickets to all three of those games. We really need him here. Now we just need to figure out whether he will be in the bullpen or the rotation. It will be kind of hard to put Sonny in the bullpen after his performance last night.
